I like this little thing.

I have a macbook pro and S3 smartphone so kind of the best of both worlds in terms of Mac OS and Android. I also have a three year old who was obsessed with the ipad I brought home from work - however to splash out £400 for the latest one (or even £300 for ipad2/ high end 7 inch android tablet) is not yet within my budget and not worth the stress if my lad damaged it. My wife also just wanted something to view family pics/vids and surf the internet. One day I will get an ipad - I'm just selfish and want to keep all the branded expensive technology to myself!

First up, this does not have 3G, Bluetooth or GPS (to my knowledge) But hey, thats what I pay £25 a month for my smartphone for.

The screen is good enough but not spectacular
Loud volume, slightly tinny but better than others I have heard
Instruction booklet is poor if you are not used to Android but I understand that if you email A1CS they can send you a pdf booklet with more info?
Light, solid and portable..................

I bought this tablet after a fair bit of research on the various Android tablet forums. For the price difference between this capacitive multitouch version and the cheaper resistive variety, it was worth paying the small extra amount to get the capactive version.

The tablet itself is sturdy and well built, it certainly doesnt feel "cheap" and its not excessively heavy, I have no issues holding in one hand whilst reading. If you have used an Apple iPad the first thing you'll notice is this tablet looks a bit like a deformed narrow iPad - the screen is a netbook style 1024x600 widescreen LCD whereas an ipad is 1024x768 4:3 display. Because the LCD screen used in the A1CS tablet is designed to be used in landscape only, when rotated to portrait which a lot of Android apps force, the screen is hard to read. This is particularly apparent on a black background, the BBC News app in portrait mode causes eye strain after a while.

The capacitive multitouch touchscreen is very good and definately recommended. However, as some have noted on the reviews for the resistive version of this tablet, it is fine when running on battery, and near-unusable when connected to the mains charger! A quick play with the touchscreen diagnostic app shows that when connected to the charger, the detected finger position jumps around all over the place. As soon as the charger is disconnected the touchscreen becomes accurate. The internal battery though is good so with a bit of planning its easy to avoid using whilst on charge. I have managed around 4 - 5 hours continuous web browsing from a fully charged battery. Wifi reception is as good on this as I get on my iPhone 3GS. Amusingly includes an in-built stylus which cannot be used on a capacitive screen, presumably a hang-over from the original resistive design................

This machine really rocks. It is a sturdy quality product and does everything I want and more. It's not an iPad killer but doesn't need to be as it stands alone. Why anyone would fork out three times the price for a tablet where you can't expand the memory and are stuck with only what the Big A will allow you to have beats me. It's very fast, comes with a good selection of apps and access to the Android Market. It has a nice folio case thrown in and tomorrow I'm going to get a prepaid sim for my Huawei dongle from my old netbook and try the 3g option. If it's as good as the wireless connection to my BT Broadband it should present no problems. Screen resolution and colours are great and the touch function can only be described as excellent. Speakers are adequate if you're watching a video or BBC iPlayer in a quiet room but it comes with a set of earphones anyway which are well up to the job. It beats me how a tablet of this quality can come in at the price but boy am I pleased it does. Delivery was fast and packing A1. If you're looking for a quality tablet that will put a lot of it's more expensive counterparts to shame then you've found it in the A1CS 8" Android 2.3..........................

I had been looking for a reasonably priced tablet as a gift for my daughter, but wanted a decent piece of kit that all of the family could use.

After browsing the web and doing some research, I decided that the A1CS Fusion5 reviews were too good to ignore and chose to buy it. As luck would have it my attempt to purchase coincided with the launch of an upgraded version - the Fusion5 Xtra.

I have only had it for a day, but my first impressions are that this is everything that I wanted, and at this price it seems to be great value for money.

Nice big screen that has quality images and is very smooth with its capacitive movement.
Easy to use/navigate
App store pre-loaded
Nice feel & weight with good build quality
16GB storage
2x mini-USB ports and a HDMI port
Dual camera looks good - my daughter will enjoy taking pictures with it.......................

Review A1CS X220 TABLET 10.2" ANDROID 2.2, WIFI, MIFI, HDMI, 1080P, GPS WITH CAM

I did some serious research into the Tablet market before deciding to buy the A1CS X220 Android Tablet some ten days ago. It seemed to offer everything I wanted - book reader, internet, email, MP3 player, photo and video viewer, and at a price I was prepared to pay. And it has proved to do all these things and more - I really am pleased and impressed with this product. It is well built, comes with GPS aerial, and transformer with an 8 foot cable, making it easy to use well away from a power point. It is comfortable to hold, light enough to use in bed or in a chair, and I have also used it on a train. The battery lasts for at least three hours before it needs recharging and you can use it with the mains connected as well, although I prefer not too as the mains input cable could get in the way, get pulled and thus damaged. The tablet has three inputs, two USB and one Micro SD card which can take up to 32 Gig capacity.

Never having experience an Android device before, it took me a few days and a lot of fun to get used to the system. Android 2.2 is designed for both Tablets and Telephones and this could cause problems though in practice it has not done so. There is a huge variety of Apps available that cover just about everything you might ever need and some you wonder 'why?'. It comes with a good range of useful apps already loaded including QuickOffice, Google Maps and a GPS program, email and Gmail apps, Amazon Kindle, Skype, and a browser, and a range of apps that make the system work effectively. There is a wide range of free apps available through the already installed Google 'Market'. The Manual is small, but almost perfectly formed, and it does contain most of the information you will need at the beginning, although you may need to try things a few times until you get it right. You can also download a Google Android 2.2 Manual from the Internet which is a bit more comprehensive........................

2.0 out of 5 stars Service excellent but not so sure about the tablet, (Not sure on service either now.)
I bought this tablet a few days ago and my initial reaction was very good. I went for the premium model because I wanted that clearer screen and I have to say that part does not disappoint in any way. I played an HD movie straight from a micro SD card and it was flawless with excellent viewing angles and really good sound as well. The touch screen was very responsive and...

3.0 out of 5 stars App Market issue
Firstly, I must say that in accordance with other reviews here, the customer service I received was excellent.

Unfortunately, though, I was shipped a unit whose boot software was faulty, which is apparently a rarity. So while the tablet did not work for me, I can at least comment on its build quality: it's excellent, robust, a good weight, well-finished and...
